The Green Star SA Environmental Rating system, developed by the Green Building Council of South Africa, is South Africa's only comprehensive environmental recognition for buildings, evaluating energy and water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and resource conservation.
The rating system was created to establish a common language and standard of measurement for green buildings, to raise awareness of green building benefits, and recognise environmental leadership.
Aside from the benefit to a project of achieving an official Green Star Rating, our understanding of Green Building principles and an intimate knowledge of the Green Star SA benchmarks gained through the requirements of registration as a Green Star SA Accredited Professional allows us to offer valuable input and insight from the very early stages of a design project.
