In order to comply with the international Blue Flag standard for beaches the existing Yacht Club building is to be converted into a new beach management complex. While much of the historic structure is to be preserved, the site will facilitate the need for a beach manager's office, public areas such as improved ablutions and environmental education as well as a new conference facility.
